Python & Django Backend Course in Kerala
Python, from first principles to production.
A three-month live online programme that takes you from your very first line of code to a deployed Django application and a documented REST API. Taught live in small cohorts by engineers who build this for a living — join from Kochi, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Calicut, Trivandrum or anywhere else.
- Certificate on completion
- One-month internship
- Four portfolio projects
- Django + REST Framework
Why this one
Why this Python course is different.
No placement promises. Real backend depth.
There is no shortage of Python tutorials. What there is a shortage of is people who can take an idea, model it, build it, test it, secure it and put it on the internet where someone else can use it. That gap is the entire reason this course exists — and closing it is what the twelve weeks are spent on.
You build from week one
Code is written in every session. You will not spend three weeks watching before you touch a keyboard.
Reviewed by working engineers
The people teaching you ship software for a living. Your code gets read the way it would be read on a real team.
You finish with proof
Four deployed projects, a portfolio site, a certificate and a month of real internship experience.
- 12weeksStructured, live, four phases

The 12-week arc
Python & Django syllabus — 12 weeks, four phases
Nothing here is filler. Every phase ends with something you have built, and the next phase assumes you built it.

- Strings, lists, tuples, sets and dictionaries
- Conditionals, loops and control flow
- Functions, arguments, scope and return values
- List, dict and set comprehensions
- Errors, exceptions and try / except / finally
- Reading and writing files, JSON and CSV
- Modules, packages and the standard library
- Virtual environments and pip
- Git and GitHub fundamentals
- 02Weeks 4 – 6
Advanced Python
You learn the parts of Python that separate a beginner from an engineer — structure, abstraction and tests you can trust.

- 03Weeks 7 – 9
Django & the MVT pattern
You build and deploy a complete database-backed web application with real authentication — not a to-do list demo.
- How Django works: the MVT pattern end to end
- Projects, apps and settings anatomy
- Models, fields and relationships
- The Django ORM: querysets, filtering, aggregation
- Migrations and schema evolution
- Function-based and class-based views

REST Framework & deployment
You ship a production-grade API and a deployed portfolio site — the two things a hiring manager actually clicks on.
- REST principles and API design
- Django REST Framework setup and architecture
- Serializers, nested and custom fields
- APIView, generics, ViewSets and routers
- Token and JWT authentication
- Permissions, throttling and rate limiting
- Pagination, filtering, searching and ordering

- API documentation with OpenAPI / Swagger
- CORS and consuming your API from a frontend
- PostgreSQL in production
- Environment variables, settings and secrets
- Docker basics for Python projects
- Cloud deployment, logging and error tracking
- Capstone project and portfolio site build
Portfolio
Four portfolio projects you build and deploy
Four projects, built across the four phases, each one deployed and documented. By the final week they live together on a portfolio site with your name on it.
A command-line data toolkit
A real CLI tool that reads messy CSV and JSON files, cleans them, and reports on what it found. Your proof that you understand the fundamentals cold.
- Python
- File I/O
- argparse
An object-oriented system, fully tested
A layered inventory and booking system built with classes, custom exceptions and a pytest suite you wrote yourself. This is the project that teaches you design.
- OOP
- pytest
- SQL
A deployed Django web application
A complete multi-user application with sign-up, login, roles, CRUD, file uploads, a customised admin — and a live URL you can send to anyone.
- Django
- ORM
- PostgreSQL
A production REST API + your portfolio site
A documented, authenticated, paginated API built with DRF, plus a personal portfolio site that presents all four projects properly. Both deployed, both yours.
- DRF
- JWT
- Docker
- Deployment
We also review your GitHub profile and README files. How your work is presented matters almost as much as the work itself.
On successful completion
Certificate and a one-month internship
A Certificate of Completion
Issued by Loopive to every student who completes the programme — attendance, all four projects submitted, and the final assessment passed. Shareable on LinkedIn and attachable to any application.
A course completion certificate from Loopive. Not a university or government-accredited qualification — we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
A one-month internship, free
Offered to every student who successfully completes the course. One month working on real Loopive project work, supervised by our engineers, with the code reviews and standups of an actual team.
Concludes with an experience letter. It is earned by finishing the course, not granted for enrolling.
How it runs
What’s included — batches, timings and support
Live instructor-led sessions
Taught live, not pre-recorded. You can interrupt, ask, and be answered in the moment.
Every session recorded
Miss a class or want a second pass? Recordings stay available to you for the full programme.
Small cohorts
Deliberately limited seats so every student gets attention and screen time.
Code reviews on your work
Your projects are read line by line by a working engineer, with written feedback.
Dedicated doubt-clearing
Separate sessions each week for the questions that need more than a quick answer.
Mentor access between classes
A direct channel to ask for help when you are stuck at 11pm on a bug.
Lifetime access to materials
Notes, exercises, starter repos and solution code stay with you after the course ends.
Interview and portfolio prep
Resume review, GitHub profile cleanup and mock technical interviews in the final weeks.
Who it’s for
Who this Python course is for
Complete beginners
You have never written a line of code. We start at the very beginning and assume nothing.
Students & final-year
You need a real project portfolio and practical skills that your syllabus did not cover.
Career switchers
You are moving into tech from another field and need a structured, complete path — not scattered tutorials.
Working professionals
You already work in IT or testing and want backend depth in Python, Django and REST APIs.
And who it isn’t for
If you are looking for a certificate without the coursework, or a guaranteed job offer at the end, this is not the right course. Twelve weeks of consistent effort is the actual requirement, and we would rather tell you that now than take your money and disappoint you in week four.
Questions
Python & Django course in Kerala — FAQs
Do I need any programming experience to join?
No. The course begins with Phase 01 — Foundations, which assumes you have never written code before. If you already know some Python, those first weeks will move quickly for you and act as a solid revision before the advanced material begins.
How long is the course and how much time will it take each week?
The programme runs for 3 months — 12 weeks in four phases of three weeks each. Plan for live sessions plus roughly 6 to 8 hours a week of independent practice and project work. The practice is where the learning actually happens.
What are the class timings, and what if I miss a session?
All classes run in the morning — we do not currently offer evening batches. Sessions are live online, so students from Kochi, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Kollam, Alappuzha, Calicut and Trivandrum all join the same batch. Every session is recorded and made available, so a missed class is something you can catch up on rather than fall behind on. Tell us your preferred morning batch in the enquiry form and we will confirm the dates and timings that fit.
What kind of laptop or setup do I need?
Any laptop running Windows, macOS or Linux with at least 8GB of RAM and a stable internet connection is enough. Every tool we use — Python, VS Code, Git, PostgreSQL, Docker — is free and open source. We help you set all of it up in the first session.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Loopive issues a Certificate of Completion to every student who successfully completes the programme, which means attending the course, submitting the four portfolio projects and passing the final assessment. It is a course completion certificate you can share on LinkedIn and attach to applications — it is not a university or government-accredited qualification, and we would rather be clear about that than imply otherwise.
Is the one-month internship guaranteed?
It is offered to every student who successfully completes the course — the same bar as the certificate: full attendance, all four projects submitted, and the final assessment passed. It is a one-month internship with Loopive, working on real project work under the supervision of our engineers, and it concludes with an experience letter. It is not automatic simply for enrolling; you have to finish the work.
Will you place me in a job?
We do not promise placement, and we would be careful with anyone who does. What we do is make you genuinely employable: four deployed projects on a portfolio site, a cleaned-up GitHub profile, a reviewed resume, mock technical interviews, and a month of real internship experience to put on it. The interviews are yours to win.
Is the course online or classroom, and can I join from outside Kochi?
It is fully live online. There is no classroom to travel to, which means students anywhere in Kerala — Kochi, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Kollam, Alappuzha, Calicut, Trivandrum, Malappuram — or anywhere else in India can join the same batch. Sessions are taught live, not pre-recorded, and every one is recorded for you afterwards.
What does the Python and Django course cost, and can I pay in instalments?
Fees depend on the batch and format, and instalment options are available. We do not publish a fixed figure because it changes between batches, and we would rather quote you accurately than advertise a number we then revise. Send an enquiry through the form on this page or message us on WhatsApp and we will share the current fee structure along with the upcoming batch dates.
Do I need to know HTML, CSS and JavaScript to join?
No, and you will not need them for this course. This is a backend programme: Python, Django and REST API engineering. We deliberately do not teach frontend frameworks, because we would rather take you properly deep on the server side than give you a shallow pass over six technologies. If you want to add a frontend later, the API you build here is exactly what you would build it against.
How is this different from a MERN stack or full stack course?
A MERN or general full stack course spreads twelve weeks across JavaScript, React, Node and a database, which usually means none of it goes very deep. This course spends all twelve weeks on the Python backend: the Django ORM, REST Framework, JWT authentication, permissions and throttling, API testing, OpenAPI documentation, PostgreSQL in production and Docker. If you want to be the person who builds and ships the API rather than the person who styles the page, this is the one.
Why Django and REST Framework specifically?
Django is the backend framework that gets Python developers hired. It carries authentication, an admin panel, an ORM and security defaults out of the box, and Django REST Framework is the standard way to build APIs on top of it. Together they take you from writing scripts to shipping software that other people and other applications can actually use.
Live online, across Kerala
No classroom to travel to. Just show up and code.
Every session is taught live over video, so there is no commute and no relocation. Students join our morning batches from Kochi, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Kollam, Trivandrum, Calicut and Malappuram — and from outside Kerala too. You need a laptop and a stable connection, nothing else.
